21st annual "Cause for the Paws" 5K walk/run

The Humane Society of Douglas Co., Inc. will hold its 21st annual "Cause for the Paws" 5K walk/run on Saturday, Sept. 7 on the Osaugie Trail near the entrance to Barker's Island (across the Barker's Island Festival Park) to McDonald's on E. 2nd St. and back to the starting point.  


Walk or run with or without your dog.  

Registration at 8 a.m. and walk/run begins at 9 a.m.  
Fees:  Individual:  $30 until August 19; then $40.   Family (parents and minor children)  $75 until August 19; then $95.  

Includes race t-shirt for each registrant and bandana for your dog(s).   Pick up registration and pledge forms at the Superior Animal Shelter, 138 Moccasin Mike Road, or the Superior Animal Hospital & Boarding Suites, 36 E. 2nd St. OR register online at and to see the rules of the event.  

UTV shelter raffle will be held following the race at approximately 10 a.m.
