The Northern Lakes Rescue, Cloquet Police Department and the Carlton County Sheriff's Office are partnering to offer free pet microchipping to Carlton County residents.  The event will be held at the Cloquet Veteran's Memorial Park on Sunday, June 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Organizers say micropchiping animals is a safe and effective way to increase the chance of reuniting missing pets with their owners.

The event is free for Carlton County residents, and you must provide proof of residency with a photo ID. Non-residents can pay $20 per pet. There is a limit of 3 pets per household, while supplies last.

A microchip application must be completed, and can be done so at the event.  All pets must be leashed or kenneled.

There will be additional services provided including: nail trims for $10, Distempter & Bordetella $15 each or $25 for both. Cash or credit cards will be accepted.
