The 8 by 10 foot oil painting honors the history of the Marine Corps with different scenes throughout the history of the branch. Part of the painting is made with soil brought back from Mt. Suribachi.

It is the fourth of five paintings by Charles Kapsner that honor the men and women of each military branch.

"For me it's very important to be able to be a person who can tell the stories of these veterans, honoring the men and women of the military, those who have served, are serving, and will serve," said Kapsner.

Kapsner started the painting back in February, 2016, and just finished on May 6.

The painting will be on display till Tuesday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. After that it will be brought to Little Falls for permanent display at the State Veterans Cemetary.
