Øystein Baadsvik came all the way from Norway to play on campus. Baadsvik is well known for becoming the only tuba virtuoso to establish a successful career as a soloist rather than becoming a member of an orchestra.

He has played around the world with other well known groups including the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra.

On Sunday afternoon, he joined UMD students and treated the public to some good music.
