The ePermitting system, available under the E-SERVICES tab at, includes applications for entrance, moving, speical road use, and utility permits. Users must create an account under the "sign up" tab before applying for a permit.

"We are excited to add the Highway Department permits to the suite of electronic permits available on the County's website," said Jeff Cadwell, County Administrator, in a news release. "These ePermits will help provide greater access to the County across the vast geographic area that Cook County encompasses, improve turn-around time and reduce difficulty applicants can face in submitting paper applications."

The Highway Department processes about 80 to 100 permits each years.
