A garage in Cloquet was destroyed in a fire on Saturday night, the Cloquet Area Fire District said in a Monday morning news release.

The release says crews were dispatched to a report of a fire in a garage in the 1100 block of North Road just after 9:15 Saturday night.

Upon arrival, crews found a detached garage that was "fully involved and partially collapsed." The garage was approximately 30 feet from the house.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire and performed overhaul.

The release says the fire did not extend into the house but one side of the home sustained heat damage that included melted siding and broken exterior window panes.

The homeowner was there at the time, and told authorities the house was evacuated.

Two of the occupant’s vehicles also sustained heat damage.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
