Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul made a stop in the Northland on Tuesday.

Kaul toured UW-Superior's Lake Superior Research Institute. Joining him were Rep. Nick Milroy, and other school officials.

Kaul says this tour helps him figure out at the state level how to best enforce environmental laws, and prevent climate change.

"One of the things that's clear from talking to them is that whether it's clean drinking water, or preventing climate change, these are issues that impact our health, our economy, and our quality of life in Wisconsin, and we've gotta make sure we're protecting our environment," said Kaul.

Kaul says he learned there are impacts from climate change being felt right in the Northland.

He adds he hopes to pass along what he learned to lawmakers and other state officials.
