The coronavirus pandemic is proving to be a boon for bike shops, which have seen a surge in sales.

Cities throughout the country have closed off streets to traffic, sparking many to buy a new ride or take an old bike for a spin in the quiet streets or up on a mountain trail.

All around the world, bicycles are selling out.

Officials are trying to take advantage of the growing momentum by expanding bike lanes.
