40 Vehicles Involved in Pile Up near Eau Claire, 7 Injuries Reported

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says that forty vehicles were involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon.

According to the release, seven semi trucks and 33 automobiles were involved in the crash which took place on Interstate 94.

Seven injuries including one life threatening injury were reported.

WisDOT says that that the scene has been cleared and traffic is flowing both eastbound and westbound.

Caution is recommended as the snow is creating slippery road conditions.

The crashes remain under investigation.
