An entry point to the Kab-Ash Trail in Voyageurs National Park will be closed temporarily.  According to a press release from the Voyageurs National Park, staff have closed the Salmi Road entrance in the Kabetogama community. Park officials are working with the State of Minnesota to find an alternate entrance to that section of trail.

Access to the trail remains open off the Ash River Trail at St. Louis County Road 129, the Meadwood Road that leads to the Ash River Visitor Center, and the east end of the trail within Ash River community.

More information can be found at the visitor centers.  Visitors are asked to check on details and closures prior to hiking in the area.
