Police discovered a 1997 GMC Suburban driven by a 53 year old male crashed into into 128 W 1st St. The driver said to have lost control of his brakes while traveling down on 2nd Ave W and veered left onto W 1st st. in an attempt to decrease speed. This caused the vehicle to crash. The driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and impairment is not thought to be a factor.

The 100 Block of West 1st Street is closed to all vehicle traffic. This section of West 1st Street will likely be closed for several hours as they assess the building structure.
