A plaque honoring a Duluth police dog that died in the line of duty has been vandalized.


The Gary-New Duluth Development Alliance is offering a $250 reward leading to the arrest of those responsible for vandalizing the plaque and report that the estimated cost of damage repair for the memorial is $1,000.

K-9 Haas died in the line of duty after being shot during a barricade of a domestic violence suspect last year.

The GND Development Alliance ask anyone with information to call the Duluth Police Department at 218-730-5020. Any tips given to the police department will remain anonymous.
