A three story apartment building in Duluth's Endion area was badly damaged in a structure fire early this morning.

The Duluth Fire Department reported it happened around 12:30 am at 1801 East 2nd Street. When fire crews got there they saw heavy smoke from the second and third stories of the three unit building. They were on scene for approximately three hours and there were no injuries but residents have been displaced from the fire.

The building damage is estimated at $35,000. The fire is currently being investigated.
