Both President Donald Trump and his challenger, Joe Biden, will visit Minnesota on Friday, Sept. 18.

The Trump campaign said the president will hold a "Great American Comeback" event in Bemidji. The event will be held at Bemidji Aviation Services, 4125 Hangar Drive NW, at 4 p.m., with doors opening at 1 p.m.

Members of the public who wish to attend Trump's Bemidji event are being asked to register on the Trump campaign website.

After the Bemidji event, the president will fly to Mosinee, Wis., for an evening event.

Meanwhile, Biden's campaign announced plans for a visit on the 18th but has not said when or were the visit will take place.

A recent poll shows Biden with a lead in the traditionally blue state, but a political science expert says the numbers are close enough that the race could go either way. A Republican presidential candidate hasn't won Minnesota since 1972.

Donald Trump, Jr. visited Duluth on Wednesday, and Lara Trump, the president's daughter-in-law, was in the Twin Cities Thursday. Jill Biden visited a school in Prior Lake on Wednesday.

The general election is Nov. 3.
