U.S. Steel donates $65,000 to Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Hibbing-Chisholm for cemetery project
A big donation from U.S. Steel will help add new flagpoles and lights to the veterans section of Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
A big day for the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Hibbing-Chisholm group. They received a $65,000 donation from U.S. Steel, which is also a Beyond the Yellow Ribbon company.
This took place at the 5th annual Veterans Resource Fair at Minnesota North Hibbing on Thursday.
The money will support Honor and Restore, the work to clean headstones of veterans at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
And it will help pay for dozens of new flagpoles for the cemetery.
The veterans are very grateful for the support from U.S. Steel, and others who’ve stepped up to help.
