After being idle since mid-Aprill, Northshore Mining is getting ready to restart.

The CEO of Cleveland-Cliffs, Lourenco Goncalves, said on an earnings call on Thursday that Northshore, "Will be back in operation next week. With that, we are back on track, and ready to fulfill the vision for the new Cleveland-Cliffs."

The original plan was to bring the mine back online in August. And it appears Cliffs is sticking with that plan.

Goncalves also said that they expect the new HBI facility in Toledo to be operating by the end of the year. The DR-grade pellets made at Northshore will feed that plant.
