The docks and launch, which are north of Bessemer, closed Monday. The Forest Service said in a social media post that about 170 feet of docks will be replaced as part of ongoing maintenance and facility improvement projects at the harbor.

The road to the boat launch will also be paved.

The Forest Service said the day use area remains open, but visitors should beware of heavy construction equipment in the area.
