When and why to do early childhood screenings
We're learning more about why you should do early childhood screenings and when to do them.
Every child in Minnesota needs to have an early childhood screening before they enter kindergarten, and Esko Schools are getting the word out.
Children should be screened between ages 3-3.5 to discover learning and developmental differences. It’s done through schools, not medical providers. School districts can often then provide free support like occupational therapy or speech coaching.
There are three websites Esko Community Education recommends with good resources:
Esko has set aside time slots on Feb. 4 and 5 for screenings. Parents can sign up online.
