Opening February 15th, Boat Club Productions’ ‘The Last Five Years’ puts a twist on the normal musical by telling the story both forwards in time and backwards.

The modern musical chronicles the five-year life of a marriage of the two characters Jaimie and Kathy, from meeting to break-up and from break-up to meeting.

“Jamie is moving forward in time while Kathy is moving backwards,” says actor Stuart Gordon. “So you’re watching the relationship through kind of both sides of time… and both sides of the characters’ stories.”

‘The Last Five Years’ runs in the Fitger’s Spirit of the North Theatre:
February 13-15 7:30pm | February 16 2:00pm*
February 21-22 7:30pm | February 23 2:00pm*

Stuart Gordon and Vivian Kampschroer play the two leads and are excited for audiences to experience this type of musical.

“Something that’s really special about this musical is that every single song is like a different style. So we get to kind of explore all musical types. And it’s that’s been a lot of fun,” says Vivian.
