Students and staff swap roles for Hermantown One Act Festival
Monday, May 12th Hermantown theatre kids are hopping into the director’s chair for the Hermantown Once Act Festival as they direct the adult staff of the school.
5 different groups of students were tasked with directing staff members. Some with theatre experience and some with not. “It’s interesting! It’s like kind of cool to be in that position where you’re directing someone with an authority,” says junior Kendell Devleiger.
Monday at 7:00 the festival will start with the student performance of the one act “Hawks Nest”, and then following a 10 minute intermission the teachers will begin their performances.

“I think all around it’s just a good experience. Something different kind of breaks up the monotony of the school year in May,” says Spanish teacher Claire Campbell.
