Need a lawyer? Don’t call Duluth’s Best Bread

Duluth’s Best Bread is everywhere

Duluth's Best Bread stopped in for our taste test Friday, talking about the recent buzz that they've been receiving.

A lot has been going on at Duluth’s Best Bread. They got an A-list celebrity shout-out, opened a location in Superior, and put up an eye-catching billboard, all while making the bread that Duluth knows and loves.

If you travel south on I-35 out the Duluth you will notice a billboard that reads: “Need a lawyer? Don’t call us. We’re just a bakery.”

Owner Robert Lillegard told The Lift says he was inspired by the Nicolette Law billboards and was throwing around the idea of, “Don’t fear the beard. Fear the bread.” Ultimately, he decided to go simpler.

Additionally, while researching for the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, leading man Timothee Chalamet stayed at the Airbnb above the bakery. Lillegard says Chalamet stopped in the Downtown Duluth location and ordered why they’re calling “The Wonka.” It’s black drip coffee, a plain croissant, and a t-shirt that reads “Body by Duluth’s Best Bread.”

Lillegard invites you to come try it for yourself at their locations in the Hart district of Duluth, Lincoln Park, and Superior.
