Marcus Theatres celebrating Black History Month with a variety of movies
During the month of February, Marcus Theatres are celebrating Black History Month by bringing back popular movies that feature Black stories along with the new Captain America Brave New World.
Divided by the genres: horror, superheroes, comedy, and bio pics based on a true story, each movie coming back will be $6 to see, except for Captain America: Brave New World which will be full price. You can also see the movies with the movie passport. Holders can choose any Captain America: Brave New World screening at Marcus Theatres plus any two Black History Month retro titles of their choosing.
“I think the biggest thing for us is that we are putting something out that is representative of all the movies and experiences and stories that black film makers have to share,” says Studio Relations Manager Kyle Emina. “So, being able to really come together internally with our team and great input with our people in our field who are seeing these moviegoers everyday and really gave us a change to put something together that felt really representative of the stories and movies that we really wanted to share for the month.”
A related sweepstakes will also give members of Marcus Theatres’ loyalty program, Magical Movie Rewards, the chance to win a trip to Washington, D.C., for a private tour of locations featured in Captain America: Brave New World, as well as a visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Here are the movies that are coming back to Marcus on Wednesdays and Sundays. For more information on Marcus’ Black History Month series and their sweepstakes you can check out their website here.
