David and Brianna Rodgers own it. David was a paramedic and found healing from the trauma he saw on the job by going to the Boundary Waters. He wanted others to have the same experience in an even more accessible setting.

“So they say that if you spend 72 hours outside, it resets your brain chemistry. So your brain patterns like smooth way out, your cortisol levels drop. So that was a big inspiration behind doing this,” Rodgers said, “and we try to do a two-night minimum, so you get 72 hours.”

A skylight at the top also allows for viewing the stars, Northern Lights, and even thunderstorms.
