Exploring the Sax-Zim Bog for the summer
The Sax-Zim Bog is one of the most biologically diverse places in the Northland. In the summer, every week is a little different.
Summer is almost underway and so is much of the programing for the Sax-Zim Bog.
The bog is located in an area that used to be a glacial lake millions of years ago. It’s a huge hub for biodiversity. So much so that the Friends of the Sax-Zim Bog could do a class on almost every organism that lives there.

The Sax-Zim Bog is roughly 147,000 acres, and theirs walkable trails throughout including 4 boardwalks to check out this summer.
The first week of June is going to be a big time to check out all the pink flowers that bloom during this time of year.
