Eddie’s ribs featured at Taste of the Draft

Eddie's World Famous Ribs is participating in the Taste of the Draft for the NFL.

The NFL Draft begins tomorrow in Green Bay, and a local supper club will be part of the festivities.

Eddie’s is one of 20 supper clubs serving signature dishes at Taste of the Draft Wednesday evening.

“Wisconsin being a very small market, what is Wisconsin known for? And supper clubs was their big thing,” Eddie’s owner Ben Anderson said. “So last October, I actually got an email. I thought it was spam.”

But after a Teams meeting with organizers, he realized it was real. And immediately, he knew their “world famous ribs” had to be there.

“I don’t know exactly how long they’ve used it, but I am told ’40s, ’50s, ’60s, we really haven’t changed the recipe,” he said. “And I think just more of that cooking low and slow. I kind of tell people it doesn’t have to be complicated to cook them.”

Ben and Mary Anderson have owned the supper club since the summer of 2022, but it’s existed on the east side of Superior since the late 1800s, as evidenced by the deeds, newspaper clippings, and more on the walls.

Tickets for Taste of the Draft in Green Bay are $800, but locals can get Eddie’s ribs seven days a week between 4-9 p.m.
