Creating everyday masterpieces with Duluth Pottery, Tile & Gallery
In her shop and gallery in Lincoln Park, potter Karin Kraemer gets to work with her friends.
‘What I really like here, and what this has grown into, is we’re kind of a hub for the arts community in a bunch of ways,” says Karen
She owns Duluth Pottery, Tile, & Gallery in Lincoln Park where she makes her own potter but also hosts other artists from the Twin Ports, like Luke Krisak who’s another potter who makes his own art and helps Karin.

Both potters love throwing clay on the wheel, they can make tons of bowls and cups for hours and never get bored.
Their finished products also look quite different. Luke’s pieces are neutral and earthy while Karin’s are illustrative and focus on things in her garden.
To check out what’s happening at the shop you can check out Duluth Pottery, Tile & Gallery’s website.
Both potters love making connections with the people who buy their work. “It’s neat when they come back and tell you how they use it and how much they love it. You’re like, ‘oh good, I’m doing something good that somebody’s using, you know, that’s nice.'”
