Alchemy, formerly known as the Good Garden Company, has been busy growing plants this spring.

New owners Mark and Anndrea Johnson bought the Superior business about a year ago. The business offers the same quality plants, shrubs, and trees. Now that’s merged with Anndrea’s metaphysical work that offers aura photos, crystals, classes, custom jewelry, and permanent jewelry. The shop is open year-round now. Mark worked for 20 years as a teacher before retiring to run the greenhouse.

There are plenty of perennials and annuals to choose from at Alchemy. Mark says it’s important to remember “thriller, filler, spiller” when planting. Using this in your garden beds and hanging baskets will add height, color, and variety to your spaces. When planting these in your yard, you’ll want to consider the amount of sunlight in the space, your type of soil, and drainage.
