Infertility affects one in eight couples, according to the CDC. And they are people you know and care about.
That's why Daniella Virijevic and Tia Chapinski have written a book called The Infertility Doula.
Both women have lived through this experience for years, and want to help be a resource for others on the journey.
It's about 250 pages, and covers so many topics, including infertility for both men and women, adoption, foster care, miscarriage, living child free, donors, surrogacy, secondary infertility, and more.
"It's been an emotional journey in itself, reliving everything we've been through. And then reading stories about other warriors who've gone through so much and are on the other side of the roller coaster," Virijevic explained.
It can also help those in your support system. "When you're going through it, nobody knows what to say. And nobody brings it up, because nobody knows how to talk about it," Chapinski added. "Nobody should go through this alone."
Their best advice is to be a good listener.
The book will be available later this spring. To pre-order yours, click below.
