Tech Bytes: Big tech goes to trial

Tech CEO's are set to be grilled by Congress. The heads of Amazon, Apple, Google and Facebook appear before the House Committee today to address worries their companies are stifling growth. Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos calls the global market large and competitive. His ex wife says she donated $1.7 billion since her divorce. She says the money has gone to causes including racial equality and climate change among many others. Her fortune is still believed to be around $60 billion.

AMC and Universal studios have reached a deal triggered by the pandemic. They agreed to dramatically shorten the time films must play in theaters before playing on demand. Movies will now play in their theaters for 17 days before hitting streaming services.
