Tech Bytes: Facebook paying users to deactivate account ahead of election

In today's tech bytes: a less expensive Xbox possibly unveiled. Online tech reports images of the Xbox series S have surfaced online. They show a smaller gaming console with a $299 price tag- that's $200 less than the Xbox 1. The new console is expected to launch in November.


Bose is reportedly close to revealing its new earbuds. A new video reveals the company is dropping the name Bose from the product, now called Quiet Comfort Earbuds. No word when they'll be released but the expected price tag is about $250.

Facebook is offering to pay users to deactivate their accounts or take surveys ahead of the election. Those invited to participate could get as much as $120 to stay off the app.for up to six weeks. It is part of a study to better understand the impact of the social media site on political attitudes.
