Tech Bytes: Apple's 'slow battery' settlement

Apple's new 'batterygate' settlement.

The company has agreed to pay $113  million to settle state claims it purposefully slowed-down older iPhones. Apple says it slowed down the phones to save battery life. but the states claim Apple was trying to force people into buying new phones.


Just in time for the holidays, Google maps has issued a handy guide -- detailing the best and worst times to avoid crowds in public places. One example:  mondays at 8am are best for socially distant grocery shopping -- Saturdays from noon to three are the worst.


And finally, Wonder Woman fans are gearing up for an unprecedented debut. The sequel will be released in theaters and it will stream on HBO MAX at the same time -- starting Christmas Day. "Wonder Woman 1984" was supposed to come out in June, but it was sidelined by the pandemic.
