Kicking off Community Action Month with a strong declared day

The people over at Community Action Duluth came together with Mayor Roger Reinert to kick off Duluth’s Community Action Month. Every year in May, they celebrate the work that happens throughout the year and highlight several upcoming community events.
Things kicked off on May 1st, with the mayor declaring May 1st Community Action Day.
With over 60 years of serving the community and fighting against poverty, Community Action Duluth is hosting a variety of events throughout May.
Community Action Duluth is hosting a Community Cleanup on May 5th, from 11-1pm, as well as a Community Construction Open house on May 7th, from 4-6pm. Then they will be hosting their seasonal Lincoln Park Farmer’s Market on May 15th, from 3-6pm.
Thius year’s Farmer’s Market is unique as an anonymous donor is doing a $20,000 match donation for the entire market. The market will be at Harrison Community Center (3002 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN) on May 15th. The market will have plants, seeds, music and food to kick off the growing season.
Below is the calendar and details of each event throughout May.
