Woman dies in fatal Iron Range crash

A fatal crash took place Wednesday afternoon in the Iron Range.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, it happened around 2:36 pm yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 169 and 4th Avenue SE in Chisholm.

A Ford F-250 was driving southbound on the highway and a Ford Edge was at the stop sign on 4th Avenue. The Edge pulled out in front of the Ford F-250 and was hit.

The driver of the Ford Edge was 69 year old Francisca Minter of Chisholm. She was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth and died from her injuries.

The driver of the Ford F-250 was 63 year old Mark Hagsten of Hibbing. He was taken to Hibbing Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
