Duluth East Theater debuts regional premiere of “Lost Girl”

Theater students bring the regional premiere of Lost Girl to life at Duluth East High School

Today on Good Morning Northland, Duluth East High School students joined Sierra Naess to talk about their upcoming performance. This show will be a regional premiere of Lost Girl.

Hold on to your pixie dust, Northland! The students at Duluth East High School are bringing a fresh, heartfelt twist to the Peter Pan tale with the regional premiere of Lost Girl, opening this week.

The play, which picks up after Wendy Darling’s adventures in Neverland, explores what happens when the fairy tale ends and reality begins.” She’s more grown up now—it’s been some time since her journeys in Neverland,”said Mia Patronas, who plays the lead.

“It’s a story about her struggles with growing up and moving on—something we can all relate to,” said Brayden Miller, who plays Peter Pan.

Unlike the classic Peter Pan, this play explores deeper themes of identity, memory, and change.

“It’s never been done before here,” said Avery Hoole, who plays the main Lost Boy. “It’s really exciting to show everyone what we can do.”

Performances of Lost Girl run May 8th through 10th at 7 p.m. at the Duluth East High School theater. Tickets are available at the door.
