People Walk to End Alzheimer's in the Twin Ports Saturday

The Twin Ports Area Walk to End Alzheimer's wrapped up Saturday, September 11th with an opening ceremony and community walk to end this disease.  

This event is one of the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's so you're participation makes a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer's today and in the future.

As of Tuesday, September 14th, the Twin Ports Area Walk to End Alheimer's raised $155,000 with a goal of $165,000. This year's goal can still be reached now through December 31st.

The Range Area Walk is taking place Saturday, September 18th in Chisholm. Registration is at 9 a.m. and the opening ceremony starts at 10:00 a.m. at the Minnesota Discovery Center.

The money raised helps the Alzheimer’s Association lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Currently, in the United States, more than 6 million people are living with Alzheimer’s and over 11 million individuals are serving as unpaid caregivers. As the prevalence of this disease continues to grow, the cost of care is escalating into the hundreds of billions, according to the Alzheimer's Association.
