The North Wisconsin Rod & Gun Club is holding a fundraiser this weekend, to raise money for the ice bridge that's currently being constructed. It will go over a pressure crack that develops near the Chequamegon Bay, making water access nearly impossible. The bridge cost about $10,000, the club hopes to raise that money this weekend.
It is Take A Kid Ice Fishing weekend on January 19 - 21. Minnesota residents, age 16 or older can fish or dark-house spear without a license if they bring a child along. The DNR advises all anglers to check on ice conditions before heading out.
