Two men from Illinois charged after assault and pursuit in Hibbing

Charges are now filed against two men in connection with an assault and high speed pursuit from last Friday in Hibbing.

Genio Teller, 31, and Kimonte Cadge, 27, are accused of beating up another man with a wooden handle. Both defendants have addresses in Illinois.

The criminal complaint said the victim told police the men attacked him because he owed them money. He ended up needing stitches for a large laceration on the top of his head.

When officers attempted to stop the suspects, they fled.

The complaint said they were going around 100 miles per hour on Highway 169 and Highway 37, and were recklessly passing vehicles, until being stopped with stop sticks.
