The Unified Basketball Team from Proctor is heading down to state

Proctor Unified Basketball Team headed to state next week

Athletes on Proctor's Unified Basketball Team are excited to head down to state on Tuesday.

An exciting time for the Unified Basketball Team from Proctor, as they prepare to head to state.

Athletes have intellectual disabilities, and are partnered up with students from the Unified Phy Ed class.

Noah Harnell is a junior on the team. He told us, “I like everything. Defense, offense, and shooting.”

Another player, Jack Morin-Swanson, said, “It’s fun.”

Partners like Jane Eckstrom and Lizzy Harnell shared that it’s a great experience working with the athletes.

The team also went to state last year.

State is on Tuesday the 11th. They’ll play two games at the Target Center. They earned their spot after beating Red Lake and Cloquet last month at a regional tournament in Grand Rapids.
