From federal worker cuts to birthright citizenship and tariffs, the Trump administration has made more than a few controversial calls in just the first month in office.

The SurveyUSA News Poll checked in with voters on the administration so far, asking: Do you approve or disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as President?

As for the recent actions of the Department of Government Efficiency, the SurveyUSA News Poll asked voters: Do you approve or disapprove of the job Elon Musk is doing as head of the Department of Government Efficiency?

• 42% Approve
• 49% Disapprove
• 9% Not sure

The SurveyUSA News Poll also asked voters: Based on what you know, are the actions of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency legal or illegal?

• 36% Legal
• 39% Illegal
• 25% Not sure

The SurveyUSA News Poll also asked voters about the performance of both Republican and Democrat lawmakers in Congress under the new Trump administration, asking: Are Republicans in Congress standing up to Donald Trump too much, or not enough?

• 17% Standing up too much
• 43% Not standing up enough
• 26% Doing the right thing
• 14% Not sure
