Justin and Rozlynn Peterson went to bed on Memorial Day, like normal. He remembers waking up to the sound of crackling, and thought it was just his cats.

But it turned out, it was a fire raging through the home in Sturgeon Lake.

He and his wife Rozlynn were able to get out with their dogs and one of the cats.

But the fire burned so quickly, fueled by a capped gas line they hadn’t known about.

They hope to rebuild, and are grateful for the support of the community.
