Soon to be first female Eagle Scout in Superior makes big donation
Gabriella Rusk has been working on her Eagle Scout project “Duffles for foster care” since 2021 and after lots of fundraising, she finally made her big donation on Friday April 25th.
Rusk raised around 4,000 dollars by organizing a meat raffle and corn hole tournament with local businesses, then took those funds to buy supplies for children in need.
Rusk made her donation of clothes, diapers, wipes, coloring books and other supplies to Douglas County health and human services.
The donation was one of the final steps towards earning her Eagle Scout badge which would make her the first female Eagle Scout in Superior.
When she gets her badge, she’s looking forward to encouraging other girls in scouting.
“I’m just looking forward to being a remodel for other female scouts in scouting America,” said Gabriella Rusk
