Paying bills can be a challenge. And it’s an important skill to learn early. Which is why the Bite of Reality program is important. Wednesday, it was at Rock Ridge, and seniors took part.

Put on by Northern Communities Credit Union, the event gives students a chance to figure out a budget.

They get assigned a profession and family, plus a salary, and then they have to go out and secure housing, transportation, and more.

Area businesses and civic groups man the stations.

One thing they learned is that things expensive! And credit scores are important.
