Scholarships available for people who want to become firefighters
Scholarships for people training to be firefighters, and you can apply now.
Duluth Firefighters Local 101 is proud to offer scholarships to cover the cost of firefighter schooling at Lake Superior College.
It’s the Butler Wutz scholarship, named for the first Black and first female firefighter for Duluth.
Captain Nick Biondich shared more, from Station 8.
“”We’re just trying to help out and try to get more people interested in firefighting and thought a scholarship to a local community college here would be a good incentive,” he said.
Applications are being accepted through June 30th.
