It has been a snowy week so far for much of the Northland. Snow began to fall Monday, and travel is continuing to be impacted by new snowfall on Thursday.
Storm Track Meteorologist Brandon Weatherz says most areas will see generally light accumulation Thursday into Friday. However, the South Shore will take the focus for lake effect snow. Locally heavy snowfall will impact travel with amounts increasing looking east. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 am Friday for Bayfield and Ashland County. Iron and Gogebic County are in a Winter Storm Warning until noon Friday. Latest forecast available here.
