Recapping a successful Curling Nationals, with two Duluthians coming out on top
Two Duluthians are part of the winning teams from the 2025 Curling Nationals.
Another great week for curlers Korey and Cory.
Korey Dropkin skipped his men’s team to the championship, and it even went into an extra end.
On the women’s side, Cory Thiesse is the vice-skip for Team Peterson, who also came out on top. And their game went into an extra end as well.
Both of the finals were on Sunday at the DECC, after a week of round-robin play.
Now both teams will represent the U.S. at World’s. The men’s competition is in Canada, and the women’s is in Korea.
This was the first time Duluth hosted the nationals since 1999. Volunteers made the event run smoothly.
