Justin Liles: Rain tonight & lasting through Friday morning
Pesky winds off the lake kept most communities near Lake Superior cooler today. Further inland, the temperatures reached the mid-60s. A band of rain is expected to move east across the area beginning tonight and into Thursday evening, bringing rains around 0.25″. The Arrowhead area looks like it could receive amounts closer to 0.50″. Along with these rains, winds off the lake will continue to aid in the development of fog, too.
A rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out, along with some rain/snow mix for the Arrowhead Thursday night/Friday morning. Following the lingering light rain on Friday, warmer conditions along with some sunshine return this weekend and continue well into next week. The Wisconsin fishing opener is this weekend, and it looks like a great one out on the lakes.
