Justin Liles: Another day with colder lake winds

May 7th: Temperature whiplash through the weekend

Temperature whiplash through the weekend

Temperatures will continue to be cooler than average for at least one more day. Cooler air in place will stick around tonight and lead to widespread frost Thursday morning. Thursday will be no different than Wednesday with colder conditions near the lake and much warmer farther inland.

Another shift in the winds on Friday should see a steady climb back into the upper 70s and lower 80s. East winds will again take over Saturday for the beginning of the Minnesota Fishing Opener.

Temperatures will be much warmer away from Lake Superior on Saturday. Mother’s Day will see temperatures climb into the 70s and 80s again. We may start to see some light showers by the middle of next week.
