The deep arctic cold we’ve been experiencing since Saturday from Minnesota to Louisiana and Florida is finally getting modified. Winds have switched from a cold northerly wind to a warmer southerly wind.

A fast-moving clipper system will bring a period of light snow tonight. Leading to some snow to coat the roads for the Wednesday commute. Only light snowfall amounts are expected, with most areas only getting a half inch to an inch and a half of snow. Locally higher amounts are possible along the North Shore.

his will likely create slick am travel Wednesday morning. There could also be some light flurries lingering around Wednesday morning. More sunshine returns through the remainder of the week. Temperatures will slowly improve by the weekend. Some light snow is possible Friday and Saturday too.

Snow likely, mainly between 7pm and midnight with 1-2” possible otherwise cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 5 by 4am. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

A chance of flurries before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 18. Southwest wind around 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
THURSDAY
Sunny, with a high near 8. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
FRIDAY
A slight chance of snow after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 17. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
SATURDAY
A chance of flurries before noon, then a slight chance of snow after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 23. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
