Growing your own Terrarium now available at Growing Duluth
For people who want to add some plants that can survive our climate to their home, Growing Duluth may have an answer. As this first weekend in February, they have opened their terrarium building. Inside the heated greenhouse, they welcome people to come anytime during open hours to make some terrariums.
A terrarium is a sealed ecosystem that allows for them to grow in areas that they would not normally. While also having benefits for not having to water it as often, people also appreciate the design of terrariums as they protect the plants from pets eating or damaging them.
Growing Duluth has a variety of containers to house these terrariums. Each container associated with a kit that comes with a set number of plants and clippings that are available to use. They also encourage people to bring their own containers that they can assist in setting up the terrarium in.
They are hosting a Valentines Special from February 1st through the 16th. The Terrarium Date deal offers a Buy One Get One half off, 2 for $75, or a Build Together for $50 (All building materials included). For more information and to reserve a time, head to their website.
One of the employees from the store also shared that Growing Duluth hosts classes where they can teach a larger group of people how to make terrariums and learn a little more details about them.
“We do Terrarium building classes,” he said. “As well if you have like a larger group you want to come in with five, six, seven people. We can fit next to 20 in here. So always available just if you have a larger group just give us a call and a heads up, and we’ll get it set up for you”
Growing Duluth also uses this green house to teach all manner of growing classes. From mushroom growing to hydroponics and processing classes.
