Average gas prices in Minnesota and Wisconsin are on the rise as of Monday.
With Wisconsin’s gas prices around $2.98/g which is up 7.1 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.91/g, and Minnesota averaging $3.02/g today which is up 13 cents from the last price.
According to GasBuddy, the cheapest station in Minnesota was priced at $2.54/g yesterday while the most expensive was $3.29/g, a difference of 75.0 cents per gallon.
They also report the national average price of gasoline has risen 6.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.14/g today. The national average is up 1.9 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 41.0 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
However, GasBuddy’s head of petroleum analysis Patrick De Haan says summer is looking more affordable.
“For now, motorists can expect one of the most affordable summers for hitting the road since the pandemic, with gas prices tracking at some of the lowest inflation-adjusted levels in years,” he says.
